What is it like as a work experience student?

South London and Maudsley Learning and Development Team offers week-long work experience placements throughout the year for young people aged between 16 and 18 in full time education. Placements take place in a range of clinical and non-clinical teams, such as psychiatry, psychology, nurse education, communications, estates and occupational therapy.

Mental Health Awareness Week

This year's Mental Health Awareness Week (15 to 21 May) theme is Anxiety.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems people can face. In a recent mental health survey by MentalHealth.org carried out around stress and anxiety, a quarter of adults said they felt so anxious that it stopped them from doing the things they want to do some or all of the time.
