Mental Health Awareness Week 2025: Celebrating the power of community

This week, 12-18 May, is Mental Health Awareness week and this year's theme is all about community. Cavendish Square Group is proud to support and celebrate with our trust members the power and importance of community.

According to the Mental Health Foundation, being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us, we are not alone. Communities can provide a sense of belonging, safety, support in hard times, and give us a sense purpose.

David Bradley, Cavendish Square Group Chair, said:

This week is an opportunity to highlight the importance of mental health and encourage everyone to take steps towards improving their mental wellbeing. Together, we can make a difference.

Why Community Matters

Communities are the backbone of mental health support. They provide a sense of belonging, safety, and purpose. Whether it's through family, friends, colleagues, or local groups, being part of a supportive community can significantly enhance mental wellbeing. This week, we aim to highlight the importance of these connections and encourage everyone to reach out and support one another.

To celebrate this week, our trust members will be running events across London that we hope you can join. Please see below o what is happening this week.
