Resident doctors' industrial action - November 2025

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that resident doctors will be participating in strike action from 7am on Friday 14 November until 7am on Wednesday 19 November.

Our trust members are working hard to make sure we can continue the safe delivery of our clinical services on the strike days. They have plans in place to make sure patients in their care will continue to receive the treatment they need throughout the period of industrial action.

Regardless of any strike action taking place, it is really important that you continue to come forward for care and support in the same way as usual.

Please only use 999 or go to A&E if someone’s life is at risk - for example if they are experiencing a medical emergency, have seriously injured themselves or taken an overdose, or you do not feel you can keep yourself or someone else safe. For more information on when to call 999 and when to go to A&E, visit the NHS website.

More information on the strikes is available from the NHS website.
